OBITUARY
Trixie (DeYoung) Chapman
August 1, 1920 – July 15, 2018
Age 97, passed away in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII on Sunday July 15, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Hollis and Anastasia (Wells) DeYoung. She was a choir member and soloist at St Albans Church, Woodside. Later she was a choir member and director of a junior choir in Amherst, NS. She was organist at the Anglican Church in Caledonia, Queens Co and president of the A.C.W. of that church. She was a choir member of Holy Trinity Church, Bridgewater. She was a member of the Halifax Conservatory choir under the direction of Ifan Williams. She had no immediate family. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Chapman and sisters, Geraldine Boomer, Ruby MacLennan, Edna McDow, Brenda Fortune and brother Ross DeYoung, all of Dartmouth. The family would like to thank the nursing staff and Isaac on 8.1 at the QEII for their care and kindness to Aunt Trixie. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 26th at 11am in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 78 Alexandra Ave., Bridgewater. Donations can be made to charity of choice.
