It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Todd Jeffrey Miller at the Saint John Regional Hospital on January 17, 2018 after a lengthy illness. Todd was born in Shelbourne, NS on April 19, 1973 to Gladys (Hillier) and the late Herman Miller and was the loving husband to his wife Sheila (Shannon) Miller.
Todd was a gentle giant, with a heart of gold. He was generous with his time and energy, and was always there to help anyone. He never begrudged anyone asking for his time because he was so willing to give it. Todd was the Site Director for Nordia and he brought so much life to his work environment. His coworkers are struggling to do their jobs to honor Todd, knowing he is not there to fill the room with his larger than life personality. He always saw the positives and recognized the potential in everyone, even if they didn’t see it in themselves. Todd was close to everyone in his life, including extended family; they were all just thought of as family. He loved to tinker with his truck and even if he didn’t always do it right, he sure tried to make it work. He was very generous and volunteered his time with food drives for Outflow Men’s shelter, Feed New Brunswick, the Saint John Boys and Girls Club and he often sponsored different families through his work for Christmas. He was a devoted Montreal Canadiens fan, and he never let anyone forget it. Todd was taken far too soon, but even with our heavy hearts, it is nice to know he is back with his dad again, living it up together while watching over all of us.
Along with his mother Gladys and his loving wife Sheila, he is survived by his brother Ross, two sisters; Brenda (Michael) Cotter and Dorothy Miller, mother-in-law Debera (Steven) Sabean, brothers-in-law Randy and Anthony (Gisell) Shannon, best furbabies Bella, Buddy and Boots, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and so very many friends. He was predeceased by his father Herman, baby brother Glen in infancy, and both maternal and paternal grandparents; Beatrice and Cyrus Hillier and Simeon and Dorothy Miller.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) where visitation will be held on Sunday from 12-3 & 5-8pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 10am-12pm from the former St. Joachim’s parish (603 Loch Lomond Road) with a funeral service to follow at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Todd’s memory to Feed New Brunswick or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by his family.
