Thomas (Tom) Glen Dey
December 4, 1927 to November 17, 2018
Tom spent his final moments surrounded by his children. He is survived by Dawna Dey Harrish (Doug Harrish), Darlene Worden, Darrell (Lauralee) Dey and Sherry Dey all in Edmonton; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two sisters Cathryn (Pat) Desjarlais, Cold Lake and Elizabeth Sjoquist, Lloydminster.
Tom is predeceased by his wife Amy in 2015; parents Florence Agnes and William Petrie Dey, and siblings Agnes Helen Robertson, George Dey, Margaret Ryall, Annie Geraldine Dey.
He started life in Chauvin Ab, and raised the family in Edmonton. Tom’s driving career started with Brewster Bus Tours, Banff. Alaska to Texas, Great Lakes to Pacific, pipeline equipment, river crossings, ice roads, farm yards, muskeg to blacktop at his peak it was heavy haul lowboys, eventually for a month or two on walker & wheelchair. He worked for Bannister Pipelines, Pe Ben and Gibbs Transport. Dad loved hardware stores, auctions, baseball, hockey, Bonnie Doon Mall and rodeos.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 1:00 to 4:00pm at Rutherford Heights Retirement Residence, 949 Rutherford Road, Edmonton T6W 0E5.
