It is with heavy hearts that we share the sad news that Tom has passed away peacefully at Trillium Health Partners – Mississauga on the 17th of December, 2018 at the age of 86. Missing him deeply are Clare, his dear wife of 61 years, his daughters Lynne (Steve) and Beth (Martin) and granddaughter Leah. He is also survived by his niece Krista (Brad), his nephews Stephen, Michael (Adrienne), Paul, Brian (Erin) and sisters–in–law Dianne and Lynda. Predeceased by his parents Tom Sr. and Alice and his brother, Alan.
A good provider, family meant everything to Tom. He worked hard to provide for his family for 43 years at The Toronto Star and had many longstanding business relationships with colleagues.
Tom was a long term member of The Board of Trade Golf Club in addition to being a long time blood donor to the Canadian Red Cross. Happiest in the garden, on the golf course or at the BBQ preparing meals for the family.
In lieu of flowers a donation to Alzheimer Society, Heart & Stroke, or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
