Thelma Phillips
It is with great sadness in our hearts that we inform all of our beloved mother’s death. Thelma Marie Phillips (Sparks) age 84 of Cherry Brook was called home to be with her Lord on October 1, 2018. Mom was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who nurtured each person in a special way.
Born in Cherry Brook, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Marjorie (Grant) Sparks. Thelma is survived by her sons, Emmanuel, Albert, Robert; daughters, Sheila “Celeste”, Marjorie (Michel), Burnetta, Pamela (Stephen), Samantha (Samuel); daughter in law Tanya; brothers, Ralph (Evelyn), Carl (Edna); sister Genevieve; 35 grandchildren; 9 great- grandchildren and 5 great- great grandchildren. She was predeceased by sons, Kenneth, Andrew, Roy and an infant son; daughter, Flora; brothers, Foster, Douglas, James, William, Lawrence and sisters, Hilda, Beatrice, Mauretta, Josephine, Marceline, Margaret, Ivory, Delores, Lou-May and Phyllis.
Visitation will be held from 7:00-9:00 pm on Friday, October 5, 2018 in the Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. The Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 6, 2018 in the Cherry Brook United Baptist Church, 292 Cherry Brook Road, Cherry Brook, officiated by Rev. Wanda Lawrence. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Donations may be made to the Children’s Ministry of the Cherry Brook United Baptist Church.
