Obituary of Terry Joudrey
Joudrey, Terry Clell – Age 67, of Elmwood, died peacefully at the South Shore Regional Hospital on December 29, 2018. Terry is survived by his wife, Joanne Johnson-Joudrey of New Germany; mother of his son and daughter, Charlotte Rafuse of Bridgewater; son, Scott (Cathy) Joudrey, Bridgewater; daughter, Kristy (Michael) Waller, Calgary; sister, Hope (James) Campbell; brother, Wade (Patricia) Joudrey; grandchildren, Chelcie, William and Shawna. Terry was born on January 21, 1951 in Bridgewater, to Clell and Dale Joudrey. He followed in his father’s footsteps to operate a Christmas tree company. He was a pillar in the community, providing local employment to many people. He was very supportive in the community, helping from plowing snow, to lending a hand to whatever was needed. He also operated a hunting lodge in East Dalhousie and enjoyed the company of other hunters, as this was his passion as well. He was well known for his “hair hat” and accompanied by his constant companion, dog, Bentley.
Visitation will be 7-9 pm, Thursday, January 3 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895, route 10, New Germany. Funeral Service to be held 11 am, Friday, January 4 in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Bridgewater; Father Gordon MacLean officiating. A private family burial will take place at a later date.Immediate family flowers only, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or SHAID animal shelter. We would like to thank Dr. Chaison at the South Shore Regional Hospital and the staff of the 4th floor medical unit for their support and care through his illness.
