Obituary for Terry « Weapon » Weatherup
Terry “Weapon” Weatherup
Dec 16, 1964 – February 15, 2018
The big heart suddenly stopped pumping and with it the nickname deeming, witty one-liner zinging, bear hug squeezing, and sage advice giving came to an end on February 15, 2018. Despite heroic efforts from all first responders, he had moved on to the next chapter of life. Soulmate, confidante and beloved romantic husband to Carrie Ellen Clark-Weatherup for the last 25 years. From football and rugby to race rescue, hunting and firefighting, along with 30 years of millwrighting at HCM, he travelled the world making a big impression and friends at all stops along the way. Never one to suffer fools, he was loyal to those he loved and respected, no matter the circumstance.
Weapon has reunited in heaven, with his father Jim Weatherup and dear sister Rae Anne and leaves behind his mother Joy Anne Weatherup and brother Perry Weatherup along with many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Lovingly remembered as “Mr. Wonderful” to Carrie’s parents Doug and Shirley Clark, and #2 to Jane and Alan Jenner and simply Uncle Weapon to his only niece and nephew Erin & Matt Jenner. He will always be Uncle Rambo to Christine, Samantha and Matt Leslie. His fire family is international and runs deep, far and wide, for which he was so proud. He is sadly missed by his hunting beagle Millie and partner in retired life hi-jinx Brix the German Shepard.
Visitation will be held at Drury Funeral Centre 519 Victoria St. E. Alliston on Tuesday February 20, 2018 from 2-9 p.m. with a service to be held on Wednesday February 21, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Living Faith Community Presbyterian Church, 206 Murphy Rd, Baxter, ON.
Donations to the Everett Firefighters Association, in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
