Our Dad died on this Christmas Monday, December 25, 2017. Terence James Miller, or “Dusty Miller” to his friends, emigrated from Cardiff Wales in 1952 with his lovely bride Betty (Welton) Miller. He was a soldier who served in the Welsh Guard Parachute Regiment at the end of WWII and continued to serve as a peace keeper in Egypt and Palestine for 8 years thereafter. He also played rugby for the regiment during that time period.
He worked at Standard Products in Stratford for 35+ years. He celebrated his family and friends. He was an incredible cook, an avid traveler, golfer, card player and was even given a Citizenship Award for his commitment to donating blood.
Terence’s children and grandchildren adored his story-telling and listening to all of the childhood songs he would sing. He loved the theatre and was proud to actually be a Journeyman in Othello on the Avon Theatre Stage for one season.
He leaves behind his adored wife Betty (Welton) Miller of 65 years, eldest daughter Terrianne Miller with her husband David MacDonald, son Morgan Arthur Miller with his wife Danette (Bingeman) Miller and youngest daughter Beth Jane (Vriends) Miller with her husband Henry Vriends.
His so beloved grandchildren: Dylan Wade MacDonald, Bryce Adam Vriends, Sophie Jane Vriends, Madelynne Grace Vriends, and great-grandchildren Colten William James & Brody Arthur Thomas.
Lastly, bereaved by his sister Phylis (Pritchard) Miller and her daughter Judy Pritchard.
Terence James Miller will be cremated and there will be a celebration of life with family and friends in the Spring of 2018.
