Tammy Leeann Nelson
1970-2018
Tammy Leeann Nelson – 48, Pleasant Valley,
passed away peacefully, following a short but brave battle with breast
cancer, on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Colchester East Hants Health
Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of Jim and Carolyn
(Pulsifer) Nelson.
Tammy worked at the « New To You » store at
Colchester Community Workshops and volunteered at Colchester Food Bank
every Wednesday. She was a well-liked person who loved to socialize
and interact with her customers and friends; some might say this
affected her work! She participated in Special Olympics, loved to
dance and enjoyed music, especially her favourite song, « A
Picture Of Me Without You » by Lorrie Morgan.
Along with her parents, she is survived by her sister, Tracy
Nelson, Bible Hill; niece, Colleen; nephews, Ethan, Seth; many aunts,
uncles and cousins; boyfriend, Doug MacIntyre, Truro. She was
predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Vernon and Barbara (Hanes)
Pulsifer; paternal grandparents, Walter and Anne (Munroe)
Nelson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where the funeral service
will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2018. Reception will follow.
Interment at a later date in Pine Grove Cemetery, East Stewiacke. If
so desired, donations in Tammy’s memory to Colchester
Community Workshop or Colchester Food Bank are welcomed. Private
