Obituary for Tamar Elizabeth Fortier (Wilson)
Peacefully on January 1, at age 94, at the Perley Rideau. WWII RCAF veteran and registered nurse. Wife of the late Jack. Dear mother of John of Port Elgin (Mary McCormick) and Jeanne Boicey (Dave). Proud grandmother of Colleen (Rob), Rob (Elizabeth), Duncan (Melanie) and Kathleen. Loving great grandmother of Miles, Luke and Amy. Predeceased by her parents and siblings. Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at the Perley Rideau for their dedicated and compassionate care over the last seven years. Many thanks to the art room team for providing her with an outlet for her talents and giving her much comfort and support. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre Foundation are appreciated. Visitation and memorial service to be held at a later date.
