Tabatha Tasha Lee-Ann Lucas, aged 34, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 1, 2018 under the excellent care of the Royal Alexandra Emergency Department in Edmonton, Alberta. She was born in Westlock, Alberta, to Elizabeth Pratt and Mitchell Lucas on March 2, 1984.
Tabatha was a dedicated, loving mother to her four children; whose heart and care also extended to many other children who considered her mom. You could often find her at the lake camping, singing at karaoke, dancing in her living room, and putting on living room talent shows with her and the kids. She was always crafting, ever resourceful, she would make memories out of any materials on hand.
She is survived by her parents; Elizabeth Pratt, and Mitchell Lucas (Janet Lucas). Her four loving children; Jared Beck, Joseph Beck, Jade Umstatter, and Jesse Peters. Her two beautiful grandchildren Evangeline and Roxas Beck (Justine Lowery). Her siblings; Shelia Strychalski (David Hendrickson), Jonathan Lucas (Tricia Lucas), Eddie Lucas (Christina Smith), Rhea Lucas and her numerous nieces and nephews will miss her dearly. Her grandparents; Gwen Strychalski (Joseph Strychalski – deceased), Rosemary and Ed Lucas, Al Coel (Betty Coel – deceased). Tabatha was also lucky to have numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends who loved her immensely.
The celebration of her life will be held at Forest Heights Community Hall at 10150 80 St NW, Edmonton from 2pm – 4pm. In lieu of flowers or donations, the family is asking for contributions to Tabatha’s children via Elizabeth Pratt. Alternatively, we are reminding everyone that they can donate blood in her honour.
