1940-2018
Susie Lillian Wilson,78, went to be with her Lord and
Saviour on September 30th, 2018. She passed away at the
Moncton City Hospital with her family by her
side.
Susie was born on March 22, 1940 in Apple River, NS the
daughter of the late Herbert and Zeneith (Elderkin)
Elliott.
In her younger years she worked at T.Eaton &
Company. Then she met the love of her life and got
married, her priority was raising her family and was a devoted wife
and mother. Family was everything, being a mom was very
important to her and she cherished all the time with her children and
later on her precious grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She enjoyed cooking, sewing and making quilts. After her
children were grown she worked for Comcare looking after Seniors. She
was a member of the Hillsborough Baptist Church where she attended
faithfully when able. Susie will be remembered for her
kindness and for her sweet smile. She was quiet but very
caring and would do anything to help others. Her legacy of love will
live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
She and her husband, Con, were married for 59 years this
year, as the chain of events played out, they were both in the
hospital at the same time and when Con passed away on September 17th,
she loving looked at him and said « I won’t be
long ». Together forever in God’s
care.

She will be deeply by his three sons, Conrad Wilson of
Greenwood, NS, Steve Wilson of Portapique, NS and Andrew Wilson
(Melody) of Dieppe; grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan, Megan,
Jackson, Trent, Ashley, and Corey and great grandchildren, Isla and
Aurora; sisters, Elaine Ouelette (Gerald) of Moncton, Phyllis Nesbitte
of Dartmouth, and Carol Armtage of Allison, ON. She will
also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her beloved
husband, Conrad ; sisters, Lorna, Marion and Zeneith; brothers,
Leonard and Herb.
She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with
visitation on Wednesday evening from 7-9pm. The funeral
service will be at the Albert County Funeral Home on Thursday, October
4th, 2018 at 2:00pm with Rev. Geoff deJong and Rev. Dean MacDonald
officiating. Interment will be in the Grey’s Island
Cemetery, Hillsborough, NB.
Donations to the Hillsborough Baptist Church would be
greatly appreciated.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the
staff of Palliative Care on the 3rd floor at the Moncton Hospital for
all the kindness and support given during this difficult
time. The staff definitely went above and beyond in making
sure, mom was comfortable, it will never be
forgotten.
