Obituary of Stewart Sherk
SHERK, Stewart of Port Colborne, passed away at the Welland County General Hospital, at the age of 64, on Wednesday November 7, 2018. Loved son of Ron (the late Betty Sherk). Dear father of Matthew (Tara) Sherk, Stacey (Steven) Annunziata and grandpa of Hailie, Payton and Calogero. Dearly remembered by his siblings, Kim (Joe) Gatt and Guy and Stew’s cherished friends, April and Rosemary. Predeceased by his brothers, Scott (2017), Paul (2008) and Justin (1991). Also remembered by Mary (Jim) Cosby and his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. The family would like to send much love and thanks to April and Rosemary for being such good friends and neighbours to Stew. We will all miss Stew’s stories, wit and unfailing sense of humour. Forever we will love and miss him. The Sherk family will receive visitors at the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne, on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Davidson chapel. Following the service, interment will take place at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Bethel. If so desired, donations may be made to the Welland/Port Colborne District Humane Society, the Justin Sherk Memorial Fund at Port Colborne High School or a charity of choice.
