Stewart Beals Sr.
Age 83, North Preston passed away peacefully on January 18th, 2018 at Oceanview Manor. Born June 5, 1934, he was the son of the late Edward Beals and Louise (Downey) Beals of North Preston. Stewart had a career as a Cement Finisher and Carpenter. Employed with BT Weeks Construction and several other construction companies, he finished his career with DND. Stewart was a member of the Saint Thomas United Baptist Church, he served as a trustee for many years and was member of the Men’s Brotherhood.
Stewart enjoyed reading the Bible, hunting, watching old western movies, wrestling, gardening and raising domestic animals.
He is survived by his loving wife Barbara of 61 years, sons Marshall (Sally) East Preston, Stewart Jr., North Preston, Floyd (Roxanne) Lake Echo, Marlow (Mabel) Toronto, Glenn (Lenora) Cherry Brook, Randy (Toronto) daughters Darlene (Earle Locke) Toronto, Deborah Ann, Dartmouth, Margo (Dean Brooks) East Preston, Dinah, Dartmouth, Gail, North Preston Janet Lee, Toronto and sister Vivian Crawley (Toronto), Goddaughter Sybil Wyse, Dartmouth; 13 Grandchildren; 30 Great-Grandchildren; 10 Great-Great Grandchildren
And countless nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by daughter Deborah, grandchildren Martin and Alisha Smith, parents Edward Beals & Louise (Downey) Beals, brothers: Winston, Johnny, Clarence, James, Welton, Wilfred, Victor and Garfield; sisters: Kathleen, Rosetta, Ruby, Louise, Lillian, Prevence, Sheila, Alma and Carmel.
Visitation will be held at Saint Thomas Baptist Church Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 7PM-9PM.
Funeral service will be held at Saint Thomas Baptist Church, 35 Simmonds St., North Preston, on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 1PM. Pastor Wayne Desmond will be will be officiating.
Thank you, Pastor Wayne Desmond and Sis. Donalda and to nurses and staff at the Oceanview Manor, sister Vivian Crawley and family members who travelled from Ontario, relatives, loved ones and friends who visited our dear father throughout his illness.
