On November 8th, 2018 the world lost an amazing Father, Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend. Steven Peter Mellen (35) was tragically taken from his family too soon. Steven leaves behind 3 beautiful children that were his world. Tristan (15),Layla (4) and Lola (2). He is survived by his Mother Barb Leonard (Stan) his Father Timothy Mellen, His two sisters Caroline Dalton (Mark) and Christine Mitchell (Ryan) and 4 nieces and nephews Ethan, Jillian, Aria and Mason.
Steve was a big child at heart. He had a natural ability to have fun with children no matter what age. He had a standing swim date with his girls every weekend, and never missed an opportunity to spend time on the ski hill or ripping around on the dirt bikes. In his spare time, he took pleasure in helping Tristan with his car. His gift with kids made Steve an uncle extraordinaire spoiling his nieces and nephews at any given opportunity.
Life at time was challenging however he took pride in providing for his family. He was a hard worker and his dedication allowed him to excel in his many careers. Customers and friends welcomed Steve’s warm personality and bight smile.
All though he may be gone from our sight, we will always carry him close to our heart.
A Celebration will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Christensen Salmon Generation Funeral Home in Lethbridge, Ab. Interment to take place at 2:00 p.m. at the Royal View Memorial Cemetery and reception to follow.
