Obituary for Stephen William Collins
Steve passed away in Port Moody, BC after a life well lived – his way. He is predeceased by wife Barbara in 2004, father William and brother Dave in 1964, mother Elsa (Lindholm) in 1981. Steve is survived by daughter Sandra (Gregorio), Lorena (Dan), Michael (Teresa) and grandchildren Scott, Hannah and David. He also leaves behind his sister Kathleen Boughey and nephew Bruce, nieces Linda and Heather and their families. Steve was born in Victoria, BC and lived and worked there until 1966. Steve and family moved to Port Moody where he lived until his death. Steve generously gave his time to friends and family repairing everything from watches to V8 engines. He could fix anything. Among many volunteer pursuits he was a volunteer driver for the Freemasons Cancer Car Program for 20 years. He rode motorcycle, played the organ and accordion and actively lived a full and interesting life. Special thanks to Ian and Fay Macdonald and their family for their enduring friendship to Dad over the past 45 years. Also, heartfelt thanks to Doreen King for her friendship and support to our Dad over the past few years. He loved the time they spent together. In lieu of flowers donations to the YMCA Healthy Heart Program would be graciously appreciated.
