Stanley Theodore Crouse
1943-2018
Stanley T. Crouse, formerly of Zealand, NB passed away December 28,
2018 at York Care Centre, Fredericton, NB. Stanley was born at
Brewers Mills, NB in 1943, a son of the late Theodore R. and Derma I.
(Hanson) Crouse.
Stanley was an avid outdoorsman and a Polaris man who enjoyed 4
wheeling, snowmobiling, hunting and fishing. He canvassed tirelessly
for the Kidney Foundation for many years and organized many benefit
wheeler rallies for those in need and would take the shirt off his own
back to help others. Stanley was a member of the Royal Canadian
Legion and enjoyed many Saturdays playing shuffleboard. He enjoyed
spending time with his children and grandchildren and was always there
to give words of ‘guidance’ and encouragement. He was his
son’s best friend.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Ardith T. (Brewer)
Crouse; his children, Patrick Crouse, Lisa King (Terry) and Jennifer
Edwards (Randy); his grandchildren, Tyler, Ashlie, Ciara and Nevaeh;
siblings, Darlene Brewer (Bernard), Sharlene Crouse (Jerry), Gerald
(Eddie) Crouse (Carol) and Paul Crouse (Susan); sisters-in-law, Beulah
Estey, Catherine Brewer, Linda Crouse (Gary), Marilyn Brewer (Chester)
and Myra Brewer; brothers-in-law, Francis Brewer and Floyd MacNeil and
several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Stanley was predeceased by brothers
Phillip Crouse and a special little brother, Laurel, a sister-in-law,
Viola MacNeil, brothers-in-law, Eldon (late Lorna), Garnet, Barnet,
Alden, Laurel and Gary (late Wilma) Brewer and his parents-in-law,
Lottie and Barry Brewer.
Visitation will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church Hall, 1405
Route 104, Zealand, NB on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 from 2 to 4 pm. and
7 to 9 pm. and on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 1 to 2 pm when the
funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 1407
Route 104 with The Venerable John Sharpe officiating. Interment will
be later at St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Robert Brewer, Dale Brewer, Dusty Babin,
Chad Crouse, Marsha Burtt and Ashlie King.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Stanley, the family
has suggested St. Paul’s Anglican Church or the Kidney
Foundation.
