Stanley H. « Babe » LeRue
Stanley H. (Babe) LeRue With sadness we announce the passing of Stanley (Babe) on April 15th, 2018 at the age of 90 in Northwood Manor, Halifax. A big thank-you to Heather and her staff on10 Manor. He was a member of the Internal Longshoremen Association (ILA) and worked at Halterm for over 40 years. Surviving are his wife of thirty-nine years, Barbara (Abbott-Dewling), daughters Wendy and Anna LeRue, step-daughter Kathleen (Leonard) Bugbee, step-granddaughter Elizabeth (Karen Wickwire). He was predeceased by son Michael and daughter Pamela, Lillian his first wife, step- son Gary Dewling and step-grandson Jonathan Bugbee. He was also predeceased by his mother, Elizabeth (Biret) [Barret] and father, Amabel, sisters Marie, Anastasia (Lula) Dorothy (Dolly), Lorraine (Trix), Jeanette and brother Francis (Frank). Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Road Halifax, where visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm at Sheffield Baptist Church, 60 Lincoln Cross, Halifax B3M 1C4. There will be light refreshments following the service in the lower hall. Burial will be at Fairview Lawn Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sheffield Baptist Church.
