In Loving Memory of Stanley Butler
It is with deep sadness that we are announcing the passing of our father and husband, Stanley James Butler. His death occurred peacefully at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Monday November 5th, 2018. He born September 22, 1929, son of the late Fred Butler of Moncton and the late Lillian (Butler) Hicks of Moncton. He is predeceased by sister Joan Butler, and his eldest son Stanley Wayne Butler. He is survived by his sister Shirley Melanson of Sackville, his wife of 68 years Daisy Butler(Trenholm); seven sons, Daniel, Stephen, Troy, Jody, Shawn, Gregory & Mark. Along with four daughters Sandra, Patsy, Karen, &Judy. As well as 27 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Stanley Butler was known for being a hard working man. He was a lumberjack and operated a skidder for many many years. He was also very mechanically inclined and would always offer a helping hand to make sure your car was running well. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting, watching hockey with his sons, and he always produced a large beautiful vegetable garden each summer. He enjoyed the company of his family and telling stories to make everyone laugh. He will be missed and never forgotten.
His remains will be resting at the Fair Haven Cemetery on the Salisbury Road Moncton, NB. The family will gather at the gravesite to say their goodbyes on Thursday November 8th at 2:00 pm.
