Passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at the age of 81. Daughter of the late Salim and Lamia Zahalan. Beloved wife of the late Fouad Saikaly. Loving mother of Samira Ibrahim, Raymond (Rita), Vicky (Aurele Guilbeault) and the late Laura Saikaly. Cherished grandmother of Michel (Nada Kandalaft), Robbie (Sylvia Gianetti) and Susie (Victor Epperson); Alexander, Laura and Alana Saikaly; Tyler, Alyssa (Hanna Kraimaty) and Chelsea Guilbeault. Great-grandmother of Braeden, Cassandra, Cecelia, Avaya, Elena and Victoria. Dear Sister of Najat (Dennis Elias), Ralph Zahalan (Betty) and the late Nassar Zahalan (Naziha). The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 11:00 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Melkite Catholic Church, 1161 North River Road. Interment at Pinecrest Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Rd. Ottawa. In memoriam donations to Sts. Peter and Paul Church and the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff at the Ottawa General Hospital, especially those in Oncology, 5th floor east, for their outstanding care and compassion.
