Salter: Shirley
Peacefully at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre with family by her side on Sunday December 16, 2018 at the energetic age of 91. Shirley (nee Norton), beloved wife of the late Gerry Salter. Much loved mother of Nancy Elliott and her husband Jim. Cherished grandmother of Kailee Wise and her husband Darby. Shirley was predeceased by 5 brothers and 6 sisters. She will be lovingly remembered by her honorary Covell children Wayne, Donna, Margaret, Danny, Paul, Cathy and Maryann. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Tompkins Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and again on Friday December 21 from 9:00-10:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. John the Evangelist Church at 11:00 am. A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Br 92. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the UHKF Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
