The death of Shirley Margaret (Larsen) Doiron widow of James Doiron of Miramichi, NB, occurred at her residence on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the age of 81. Born in Newcastle, NB, Shirley was the daughter of the late Norval and Sarah (Hachey) Larsen. Shirley was a loving mother and grandmother who was the happiest when her family was around her playing a game of cards and dice. Shirley is survived by one daughter: Darlene Sutton (Paul) of Bethune, SK; four sons: Rob of North Rustico, PE, Blake (Faye) and David (Donna) of Miramichi, NB and Brent (Jodi) of Salmon Arm, BC.; three sisters: Marie Mullin (Terry) of Ontario, Janie O’Brien of Miramichi, NB and Regina Hachey (Maurice) of Bathurst, NB; two brothers: Billy of Toronto, ON and Fred of Millerton, NB.18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Shirley is predeceased by one daughter: Sharon, one son: Leroy, three sisters: Louise, Gloria and Anna; one brother: Eddie; daughter-in-law: Sally; sister-in-law: Cheryl. Visitation will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 2 PM from St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church with Father Antonio Reyes officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery later in the spring. In lieu of flowers and in Shirley’s memory a donation may be made to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation.
