Shirley L. McIntosh
1930-2018
The death of Shirley Louise (Plourde) McIntosh of Bath, NB occurred on
Monday, January 15, 2018 at the River View Manor, Bath. Born August 5,
1930 in Tobique Narrows, NB she was the daughter of the late Angus and
Elizabeth (Murphy)Plourde. She was also predeceased by her husband,
Ronald; 1 brother, George Plourde (Genieve) ; 2 sisters, Maudie
Rattray and Margaret Grant (Harold).
Shirley loved her family first and foremost, spending time with them
was important, especially with grandchildren. Shirley loved to cook,
cross country ski and work in her flower beds. Going for a swim at
the Bath Pool was something that she looked forward too. She was also
a member of the Bath Baptist Church where she attended services.
Shirley is survived by her 5 children, Wayne McIntosh (Barb), Paula
Jenkins (Wally), Lee McIntosh (Linda), Helen McIntosh and Sharon
McIntosh-Allen (Mike); 7 grandchildren, Darren Jenkins (Senowa),
Michelle Gallant (Scott), Wanda Jenkins (Desmond), Dwayne McIntosh,
Janell Pelkey (Tony), Mitchel Drost (Dedreanna), Mallory Drost
(Jordan); 13 great grandchildren, Shayna Jenkins (Morgan), Jessica
Jenkins, Joscelyn Jenkins, Patrick Wallace, Colby Wallace, Graham
Wallace, Ashlyn Jenkins, Kaidyn Jenkins, Meghan Jenkins, Grace Pelkey,
Paige Pelkey, Brady Naves and Mason Drost; 1 sister, Dr. Paula
Plourde as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207
Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from
6-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at
2:00 pm from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Harold Price will
officiate. The interment will be in the Glassville United Cemetery at
a later date. In lieu of flowers donations made to the Alzheimer’s
Society or the Bath Swimming Pool would be appreciated.
