Shirley Frances Buckley
1928-2018
It is with appreciation for a life well-lived that the family
of Shirley Buckley, loving wife to the late Delbert Buckley, announces
her passing which occurred on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the Saint John
Regional Hospital. Born in Denver, Colorado on May 23, 1928,
she was the daughter of the late Loran and Nina (Williamson)
Snow.
Shirley was a long-time member of both Silver Falls and
Westfield United Churches. She was also a member of other
organizations such as CGIT and the Union Club, where she served on the
board for many years and was a past President of the Ladies
Section. Shirley took great pleasure in social events, and
hosting house parties. She enjoyed traveling, but above all, spending
time with her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew
her.
Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her son, Loran
(Heather) Buckley, her nieces: Kimberly (David) Bursey, Meredith
Henderson, and Hillary (Murray) O’Connor, her caregiver
Dianne, along with many cousins, great nieces and nephews, members of
her extended family and friends.
Besides her parents, and husband of 66 years, Delbert,
Shirley was predeceased by her brother Robert
Snow.
Arrangements are entrusted to
Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111
Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Although there will
be no Funeral Service, family and friends are invited for a time of
remembrance and refreshment on Saturday, June 30 from 11 am
– 1 pm in Brenan’s Reception Centre. For those who
wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of donor’s
