Obituary Overview
Shirley Elizabeth Frazee
It is with broken hearts that the family of Shirley Elizabeth Frazee announce her sudden passing at the age of 88 on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at the Dartmouth General Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Ethel Bernard. In true Frazee fashion, she was surrounded by her loving family. We are sure our father, Clifford, was waiting for her with open arms. Mom was a homemaker and her world revolved around her family, and that is how she would want to be remembered. We could not have asked for a more loving and caring Mother/Grandmother/Great Grandmother. Mom was an avid gardener…her perennial gardens were one of her pride and joys. She would love to sit outside and look at her garden and listen to and watch the birds. She was also a wonderful cook and baker…all the grandchildren had to do was ask and Mom would make them whatever their heart desired. She leaves behind children Bruce Frazee, Cathy (Richard) MacKay; Peggy (Tony) Williams; Bonnie (Michael) Harrison; grandchildren Kelley Kennedy, Nicole (Brad) Picklyk, Eric (Jessica) MacKay, Brent MacKay, Tracy (Jim) MacInnis, Jeffrey (Keshia) Williams, Troy (Megan) Turner, Nicholas (Holly) Turner, Amber (Jen) Turner, Todd (Andrea) Turner; great-grandchildren Olivia, Cooper, Justin, Jayden, Benjamin, Hanna, Calie, Leo, Joni, Audrey and Teddy; brothers Robert Bernard and Lawrence Bernard; sisters-in-law Jaunita Bernard and Marie Scott; and many neices and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford Frazee; brother, Dale Bernard; grandson, Taylor MacKay; daughter-in-law Christine Frazee; sister-in-law Theresa Bernard. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Sunday, March 18th with a Celebration of Life at 11am Monday, March 19th with a reception to follow all in Atlantic Funeral Homes, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. We would like to thank the staff at Parkland Nursing Home, Glasgow Hall for their care of Mom over the last few weeks. We would especially like to thank the staff of St. Vincent’s Nursing Home for the love and care they gave Mom over the last 4 1/2 years.
