Shirley Hadfield passed away on December 3rd at Cambridge Memorial
Hospital following a long and courageous battle with Cancer.
Reunited with Robert, her loving husband of 41 years as well as sister
Beverley (Williamson) and brother Steven. She is also pre-deceased by
her parents Cecil Cumming and Anne Bassett.
She is survived by her loving sons Mark (Nicola), William (Charlene)
and Peter (Rachel) and adoring grandchildren – Wilson, Meghan, Emma,
Olivia, Sarah, Madison, Jackson, Lily and Cooper.
Born in Galt, raised on a farm in Rockton, Shirley was a lifelong
resident of Cambridge actively involved with her church at Knox
Presbyterian. A Cub Scout Leader in her earlier years as well a Galt
Minor Hockey Mother executive member, community spirit was a theme
throughout her life.
Arts & Crafts, reading, baking, traveling and spending time at the
ballpark were among her many passions. But it was being with family
and friends that made her happiest of all.
Visitation at Knox Galt Presbyterian Church will be held on Sunday
December 9th at 1 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m.
