Shawn G. Crowe
1972-2018
It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we announce the passing of
Shawn Gary Crowe, 45, of Mahone Bay, Lunenburg County, formally of
Truro, on February 10, 2018, after a short battle with cancer, at
South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, surrounded by loved ones.
Shawn is survived by his pride and joy, his two children, Ethan and
Kennedy; the mother of his children, Nicolle Veinotte; his parents,
Darlene (Kerry) Blaikie, Clearland; Gary (Doreen) Crowe, Biblehill;
step-sisters, Lisa (Peter) White, Moncton; Kelly (James) Taylor,
Bedford; his in-laws, David and Gail Veinotte, Clearland;
brother-in-law, Joel (Shelley) Veinotte, Clearland; sister-in-law,
Amanda (Peter) Tanner, Mahone Bay; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and
cousins. He was predeceased by his infant daughter, Regan; infant
brother, Freddy; grandparents, Cecelia and Alfred; grandparents, Ina
and Johnny; numerous aunts and uncles. Shawn was a devoted father to
his two children, Ethan and Kennedy, whom he adored. He enjoyed
spending time playing ball, watching his kids play sports and was a
loyal Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Shawn will be remembered for his great
sense of humour, loving to have a good time and his tormenting, as he
loved to pick on everyone. He liked to volunteer in his spare time
coaching many kids over the years in basketball and baseball. He will
be deeply missed by his family, friends and everyone who knew him,
especially his children. No visiting hours. A memorial service will
be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 17, 2018 at St. James’
Anglican Church, 63 Edgewater Street, Mahone Bay, Father Chad
McCharles officiating. A trust fund for the children of Shawn and
Nicolle, Ethan and Kennedy Crowe, has been established at the TD
Canada Trust where payment may be made at either the Lunenburg or
Bridgewater branch or memorial donations may be made to Canadian
Cancer Society or IWK Health Centre Foundation. Arrangements
entrusted to the care of Mahone Funeral Home, P.O. Box 200, 32 Parish
