Sharon Balone
Sharon was born August 12, 1941 to parents Tom and Margaret Otway. She grew up on Island #2 and attended Isabella, Franklin, Kingsway Park and Selkirk High School. She worked at many places and then retired from the Lakehead School Board as a Custodian after 25 years of service. Her family and friends were her main interest. She loved arranging flowers and made them for Weddings, Easter, Christmas, for many of her friends and many church occasions. Sharon was an active member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. She was in the « Fun and Fitness Group » where she met many great friends. Sharon also was involved in « Lunch with a Difference » where everyone enjoyed her cabbage rolls. She was a volunteer at Grandview Lodge with the church and also was a past member of The A.N.A.F. where she had received her 25 year pin of service. Sharon loved family get together’s with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by the love of her life and soul mate Arthur, her loving children Randy Kruskowski, Lori Covello and her husband Andrew and her six beautiful grandchildren: Melissa and Eric Sigvaldason (Calgary), Allan Kruskowski (Calgary), Lauren Kruskowski (Calgary) Rachel Kruskowski (Mike), Haley Covello (Kyle), Bryce Covello, her great granddaughter Stella and her two pets Ty and Lucy. Sharon was also survived by many relatives, friends and two special cousins Wayne and Debbie Otway and families, Lorne and Jackie Otway and families with many special friends from the church. Sharon was predeceased by a loving son Brad Kruskowski (1980), Dad, Thomas Otway (1985) Mom, Margaret Otway (2011) and sister Cheryl Lynn (1950).
Funeral Services for Mrs. Balone will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Jenkens Funeral Home, 266 S. Syndicate Avenue, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Joyce Yanishewski officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time. Interment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery.
