Scott Allen Parlee
October 31, 1970 – October 14, 2018
The passing of Scott Allen Parlee, of New Maryland, NB occurred on October 14, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB.
Scott was born on October 31, 1970 and was the son of Harold « Allen » Parlee and the late Marilyn Parlee.
Scott is survived by his father, Allen Parlee, his brother, Shawn Parlee (Tara), nephew, Tyler and niece, Brooklyn, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Scott was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy in 1975, a disease which over time robbed him of his physical abilities, but certainly not his mental capacity. Scott was fortunate to have remained at home his entire life due to the exceptional care provided by his family and wonderful team of past and present caregivers.

Scott was witty, liked to laugh and tease, and despite his limitations remained positive. Scott was a sports fanatic. Years ago he was a season ticket holder to the Fredericton Express/Canadians hockey games. He was an avid Montreal Canadian and Toronto Blue Jays fan.
Scott enjoyed travelling with family and had visited every Canadian Province except Manitoba and Saskatchewan. He also visited Florida, California, Nevada, New York, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maryland. He attended many sporting events and recently watched the Toronto Blue Jays at Fenway Park in Boston. Needless to say Scott lived life to the fullest. Scott also enjoyed playing on the computer, watching movies, reading books and visits with his long time friend, Jason Bourque, spending time with his niece and nephew.
Scott developed a close relationship with his caregivers, Lorne Abbott, Jane Arbeau, Vicki Longstaff, Cindy Dunn, Pam Shannon, Cathy Comeau, Lisa Arbeau, Jordan McCormick, and his aunt Kathy Huestis, they became part of his family. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
A private family service will be held at the New Maryland United Church. A Celebration of Scott’s life will be held on Friday October 19, 2018 at 3 pm
from the New Maryland Recreation Center. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy of Canada. Personal condolences may be made through www.yorkfh.com
