Sarah Reimer,of Winnipeg, was born in Blumenort, Manitoba, on February 2, 1930, to Rev. David P. & Justina (Unger) Reimer. She was the youngest in a family of eight. She had three older sisters and four brothers. Sarah passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg. She was 88 years old.
She leaves to cherish her memory two brothers: David and his wife Helen and Gerhard and his wife Mary and many nieces and nephews and friends.
Sarah was predeceased by her parents David P. and Justina Reimer and sisters: Marie Reimer, Justina Penner and Elizabeth Kroeker and brothers Henry and Peter and numerous brothers-in-law, sister-in-law and nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank the staff at Lindenwood Manor that cared for her. The dining room staff that were always friendly and kind, the homecare staff that looked after her and the cleaning ladies that cleaned her place, and others too numerous to mention. And a special thanks to Val who took Sarah’s special pet bird Boey. We are also grateful to the staff at Grace Hospital, Deere Lodge Center and Victoria Hospital for the care they gave her during this last year.
2/The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB, with a viewing prior to the service. The burial will follow at the Blumenort EMC Cemetery, Blumenort, MB.
