It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Sarah Anne MacNeil (nee Harris) announces her passing at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Saturday, October 27th, 2018 at the age of 73 years. Born in Harbour Breton, NL, Sarah was the daughter of the late John and Nora Harris (nee Cox). She was also predeceased by her loving husband Norman James MacNeil; son Jimmy MacNeil; brothers Joe (Mary) Harris; Art Harris and brother-in-law Ambrouse Whittle.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving sons Myles (Mandy) MacNeil of Pasadena, NL, Bernard (Janine) MacNeil of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; daughters Josephine (John) MacNeil of Mount Pearl, NL, Mary (Brad) Patten of Halifax, NS; grandchildren Dante, Isabelle, Abigail, Jaxon, Natalie, Logan; sisters Vivian Whittle of Marystown, NL, Kitty Harris of Harbour Breton, NL and brother-in-law Ray (Marg) MacNeil of Ontario, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will take place on Monday, October 29th, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Church of the Precious Blood in St. Andrew’s, NL from where the Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, October 30th, 2018 at 11 am officiated by Father Lee Lainey with interment to follow at the St. Andrew’s Cemetery in St. Andrew’s, NL. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Sarah’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, P.O. Box 8921, 70 Ropewalk Lane, St. John’s, NL, A1B 3R9.
