MEYERS, Sandra Jean.
March 11, 1938 – November 4, 2018 – Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Friend, and Dog Lover.
Sandra passed away in Mississauga on November 4, 2018. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Terri and Andrew and Tracy and Mark, her grandchildren Alison (Rob), Mackenzie (Nathan), Ryan and Carson, her sister Judy and her best friend Sasha.
Sandra was a successful and well-respected sales agent for many years before handing her thriving business over to her daughter Tracy 11 years ago.
After her long time partner John passed away, she spent the last five years at Parkland on the Glen in Mississauga where she made lots of new friends and absolutely loved her life.
Sandra loved to play euchre (with wine) with her family, and with her friends at Parkland. And, she loved her nightly dinners (with wine) with her “homies”. She made special homes for many dogs over the years including Parkland’s favorite little Westie Sasha.
Spirited, feisty, classy and loving, Sandra ‘Mom’ will be missed by many and talked about with a smile on our faces for years to come.
Friends and family will be received at the Glen Oaks Funeral Home (3164 Ninth Line, Oakville) on Wednesday, November 7th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9. Funeral service in the chapel on Thursday November 8th at 1:00. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Blood Services or Westies in Need would be appreciated.
