WOOSEY, Sam March 18, 2018
Woosey, Sam of Vankleek Hill, Ontario passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the Hawkesbury General Hospital at age 90. Born October 13, 1927 in Hamilton, Ontario; he married Thelma Lewis Woosey on March 3, 1962 in Montreal, Quebec. She preceded him in death on July 28, 2010. Sam leaves behind his daughters; Elizabeth, Catherine (Terry Conway) and Alexandria « Sandy ». Gramps of five grandchildren; Jonathan, Danielle, Andrew, Michelle and Victoria. Predeceased by his sister, Muriel. Dear cousin of Dr. Joan Heels. Sam was an avid sailor in his younger years and spent many weekends racing Lightnings at the Royal St. Lawrence Yacht Club in Montreal. He enjoyed furniture making, house renovations and tinkering on his many automobiles. He could fix anything. You could find Sam socializing at local auctions or cutting his enormous lawn. A special thank you to the many nurses and staff at Hawkesbury General who cared for him and returned him to his room each time he tried to escape. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In memory of Sam, a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society of Cornwall P.O.
