OBITUARY
Salvatore Arrotta
October 2, 1926 – December 10, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Salvatore Arrotta, on Monday, December 10, 2018 at the age of 92 years.
Born in Albi, Catanzaro, Italy, he immigrated to Canada in 1954 followed by his wife, son and daughter in 1956.
The greatest joy of his life was spending time with his family. Salvatore enjoyed several trips throughout his life travelling with his wife, Concetta, and many friends to Hawaii and Italy. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
Sam spent a majority of his adult life shining shoes in downtown Calgary and the international airport.
Salvatore is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Rosa and Nello; son and daughter-in-law Pat and Val; his sisters Teresa and Anna; his brother Nicola; four grandchildren Nadia (Dave), Angela (Dylan), Reno (Dianne) and Court (Jeannette); and great-grandchildren, Evan, Nora, Olive and Joelle; as well as by multiple nieces, nephews and extended family. Salvatore is predeceased by his loving wife, Concetta; his brother, Francesco; and his sister Maria.
