Uncle Sam was my  Favorite Uncle,  I have always loved him and will miss him dearly, especially when I used to call him 3 -4 times a week to hear his voice  and ask how he's feeling , every time I went to the gym.  He will always be in our hearts and in our minds  -  He can rest in peace now with his wife Concetta close to him,.

Sam was a master of his trade and made shining shoes an art form. He was a very kind man who’s sincerity and generosity left us thinking of him often over the years.

Our most sincere condolences from the Amelio family to Rosa, Pat and all Arrotta family members.   Despite emigrating to different cities, our fathers, Nicola & Sam, remained great friends and always enjoyed their reunions.  Sadly, when travel became difficult, their reunions ended but I know they spoke often by telephone.  I trust they will have a blessed reunion in God's presence now and forever.

Salvatore is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Rosa and Nello; son and daughter-in-law Pat and Val; his sisters Teresa and Anna; four grandchildren Nadia (Dave), Angela (Dylan), Reno (Dianne) and Court (Jeannette); and great-grandchildren, Evan, Nora, Olive and Joelle; as well as by multiple nieces, nephews and extended family. Salvatore is predeceased by his loving wife, Concetta; his brother, Francesco; and his sister Maria.
