Obituary of Ruth Kell
Ruth Elder Kell, age 89, of Ivany Place (Northwood, Bedford), formally of Halifax and Wellington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 7th.
She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary Evelyn (Baker) Keer of Westville.
Ruth spent her early life in Westville before moving to Halifax with her husband Adrian. She worked for twenty years at Canadian Associated Dental Laboratories as a technician. She loved to sew and spent many hours making clothes for herself and her family as well as making doll clothes.
She is survived by her children, Pamela Spencer, Wellington, Brian Kell, Wellington, Evelyn (George) Craigie, Pierrefonds, Quebec. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Adrian Spencer, Austin Spencer (Mirela Johnson), Amelia (Spencer) Heim (Daniel Heim), Laura Craigie, James Craigie and great grandchildren, Cash Heim and Ashton Spencer.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband, John Adrian Kell and her sister, Jean (Keer) Peterson.
Ruth is resting at Eagles Funeral Home, 1611 North Main Street, Westville on Tuesday, June 12th from 1-1:45pm. Funeral service to take place at 2 o’clock Tuesday, from The Church of the Holy Name, Westville, with burial to follow in Holy Name Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia.
