Peacefully at the Perth & Smiths Falls Hospital (Smiths Falls Site) on Friday June 22, 2018. Ruth Dickson of Portland, in her 93rd year. Widow of Lawrence (Lucky) Cheetham. Dear mother of Robert Cheetham (Lesley MacDonald) of Nunavut, Janet (Ray) Bonhomme of Portland, Debra (Dave) Rushton of Tillsonburg, Larry (Carol) Villneff of Edmonton, Ab. Dear sister of Edythe Bryan of Georgetown,, Roberta (Ken) Hutchings of Kingston, Lenore Perras of Westport and Sylvia (Warren) Hutchings of Calgary, Ab. Predeceased by sisters; Anne Majola, Debra Pinneo, Florence Furzer, Helen Hollister and by brothers; Robert, Thomas and Wray Dickson. Fondly remembered by her 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister-in-law, Irma Dickson as well as many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Scotland Funeral Home, 27 Main Street, Elgin on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 12 Noon. Interment Lyndhurst Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations made to Lyndhurst Cemetery or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
