Ruth passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Broadview Nursing Centre, Smiths Falls on Monday, October 29, 2018 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Harry Fisher. Loved and respected mother of Barbara Ann Hedderson (Dave Pringle) and R. L. Bob Fisher (Suzan). Sadly missed by her grandchildren Jeffrey Hedderson (Deann), Steven Hedderson (Andrea Kettle), Dan Hedderson (Tara), Ashley Fisher and Lyndsey Fisher (Nik Topolovec) and 7 great-grandchildren. Loved God mother of Danny Smith. Dear sister of Dorothy Bawn (the late Allan), the late Pearl Marshall (the late Fred) and the late Edna Smith. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Roger Neilson House or the Alzheimer Society of Lanark County
