Veteran of WWII (instructor in the tank Division) passed away at Grey Gables, Markdale on Monday, April 16, 2018. Russell Mitchell Harvey of Markdale in his 95th year.
Beloved husband of the late Joyce (McGee) Harvey (February 2018). Dear father of Mac Harvey (Brenda) and Paul Harvey (Brenda) all of Markdale. Loving grandfather of Tammy Harvey (Brent Behm) and Danyle Harvey (Marty Thompson). Great-grandfather of Kurtis Paddison. Sadly missed by sisters Lois Lyons (Vern) and Velma Edwards. Also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Predeceased by brothers and sisters Gerald Harvey, Earl Harvey, Laverne Hamilton, Sadie McFadden, Muriel Stephens, Tressa Tebbutt, Lloyd Harvey, Donald Harvey and Leonard Harvey.
The family will receive friends at the May Funeral Home, Markdale on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., where Royal Canadian Legion Branch #333 will conduct a service Thursday at 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the May Funeral Home on Friday April 20, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Markdale Cemetery.
