Men’s Club at St. David’s United Church of
Rothesay. He was a former member of the Beaus and Belles Square
Dancing Club and Hampton Curling Club. Russ contributed to the
community through a number of organizations and as the clerk of the
Village of Fairvale.
Russ enjoyed many outdoor activities,
including camping, fishing and hunting. He loved curling, golfing,
playing the guitar, wood working, gardening, tracking the weather, and
watching sports. Over the years, Russ and Connie trailered at Sunrise
Shores, Hilltop and Pirate Cove campgrounds. He cherished time spent
sharing stories and laughs with family and friends.
He represented the province of New
Brunswick at four National Seniors and one Masters Curling
competitions, aced the seventh hole at Hampton Golf Course at 84 years
young and survived cheering for the New York Yankees at Fenway
