Roy Stillman MacDonald, 88, of Lincoln New Brunswick
passed away on Tuesday, June 26th
at the
Oromocto Public Hospital. Roy was born in Upper Nine Mile River (Hants
Co.) Nova Scotia on October
24th,
1929.
Roy was the son of late Clyde
and Nima (Mackenzie) MacDonald. Roy, a former retired employee of
Canadian National Railway was a loving husband to the late Jean
(Kennedy) MacDonald. Roy is survived by his brother Kenneth (Faith)
MacDonald, his nephew Tim (Annette) and their three children Alison,
Jillian, and Kate
MacDonald.
Roy will be fondly remembered
as a kind and gentle spirit. Roy loved his pets and enjoyed his cars
in his spare time. Roy gave generously to several local charities and
was a loyal supporter of New Brunswick Animal Rescue
groups.
Roy’s family wishes
to express gratitude to Dr. Brown, Dr. Harvey, Dr. Woods, the nursing
staff of the Oromocto Public Hospital. Additionally, gratitude should
also be extended to his caregivers Stephen York, Elizabeth, Brenda,
and
Donna.
Funeral arrangements are in
the care of Bishop Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton. The
family will receive condolences there on Friday, June
29th from 12:00 Noon -12:45 PM,
followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Rev. Brian MacDonald will be
officiating. Interment will take place in the McKenzie Corner United
Church
Cemetery.
