Obituary for
Roy Harold Burton
It is with profound sadness that the family of the late Roy Harold Burton announces his passing. Roy passed away from the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s, NL on Monday, April 30th, 2018 at the age of 77 years.
Roy is predeceased by his parents – Roland and Marie Burton; parents-in-law – Ralph and Lily Rogers.
Left to cherish a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife of 50 years Audrey; children – Denise (Sheldon), Lisa (Sean), Deland (Gina) and Jodeen (Greg); grandchildren – Adrian (Morgan), Logan, Brooklyn, Kylie, Courtney (Leo), Maci, Leah and Shane; great-grandchildren – Parker and Amelia; siblings – Clayton (Donna), Melvin (Rita), Jeanette (Ross) and Carl (Jackie); siblings-in-law – Allan, Goldie (Iain). as well as a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Public Visitation will take place from Zion United Church, La Scie NL on Wednesday, May 2nd, 2018 beginning at 7:00PM and on Thursday, May 3rd, 2018 from 10:00AM to 9:00PM.
Rev. George Stockley, assisted by Rev. Chris Mazhandu will conduct the Funeral Service from Zion United Church, La Scie, NL on Friday, May 4th, 2018 at 2:00PM. Interment to follow from Zion United Church Cemetery, La Scie, NL.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Roy’s memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
