Obituary for Mrs. Roxanne Paulette Cole
Roxanne Paulette Cole at 69 years of age from High River, Alberta passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary on Monday January 8th 2018. She is survived by her beloved Husband Bob, sons Mark and Greg, brothers Art, Allan, Brant, Myles and Randy, sisters Suzie and Sandy, grandchildren Evan and Cassidy (Greg), Michelle (Mark).
Roxy was born in Edmonton, Alberta. Her family eventually set up root in Aldersyde where she would spend the majority of her youth growing up with her seven siblings. After she married Bob, they moved into the house they built together in Alder Heights where she would raise her two sons on the acreage. She also enjoyed gardening and working with power tools. Roxy loved to travel which included cruises, exotic destinations, 6 years as a snow bird in Phoenix and her trips to Montana where she loved shopping and family time. Roxy had passions for watercolor painting and building her Christmas Village. Roxy’s illness never held her back and she continued to cherish every moment of her life.
The family would like to thank everyone involved in fulfilling Roxy’s life to the fullest, this includes her sisters at the Beta Sigma Phi. A special thank you goes to the caring staff at the Foothills Hospital ICU C Pod for their tireless efforts during this difficult time. In memory of Roxy memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson Society of Alberta www.parkinsonalberta.ca .
A Celebration of Roxy’s Life will be held on Friday, January 19th at 2:00 p.m. at the Highwood Memorial Centre (128 – 5th Ave W, High River).
