Rose McCarthy passed away at the age of 92 on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Alexander Place, Waterdown. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul Francis McCarthy. Google Maps Carmel Noonan, Bernice Beitz and Tom Steffler, as well as her grandson Bart Daniel, her best friend Marg Clair, and her special friend Bill Baxter. Rose will also be missed by the extended McCarthy family.
Rose served two years in the Women’s Royal Canadian Naval Service, was part of the Catholic Women’s League for over 45 years, and has been a lifetime member of the Mountsberg Women’s Institute.
Visitation at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at OUR LADY OF MT. CARMEL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 79 Freelton Rd., Freelton on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the adjoining cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to either the Marian Hall renovation fund, or Sick Kids Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
