OBITUARY
Rose Marion Stewart
November 18, 1925 – December 3, 2018
Mom was born in Victoria, BC on November 18, 1925 and passed away in Port Alberni, BC on December 3, 2018. She is predeceased by husband Leonard, daughter Lois, son-in-law Bill Zomar, grandson Kevin and granddaughter Talya. Brothers Alfred and Raymond, sisters Hazel and Amy. Survived by son Leslie and Louella; daughters Shirley-Ann Abernathy and Don, Barbara Blakey and Gordon. 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Brother Arthur Shambrook, sister Shirley George and many nieces and nephews.
Rose worked at Super Value and the Nootka House in her earlier years. She was very active in the community with the Blood Donors, Legion 169 Auxiliary and the Sunshine Club. Rose and Len both enjoyed holidaying and camping with the grandchildren.
We would like to give a big thank you to the staff of Fir Park Village for the great care they gave to mom
No funeral by request. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in Rose’s name to Fir Park Village or the BC Cancer Agency very much appreciated.
