Rose Clark
March 3, 1923 – April 2, 2018
In loving memory of Mother, Granny, and Great-Gramma Rose.
Rose was pre-deceased by her husband Lloyd Clark, son-in-law Bob Taylor, grandson Bryan Taylor, and grandson-in-law Deric Kryvenchuk. She will be greatly missed by her daughters Gloria Taylor, Marjorie Stewart (Jim), and Darlene Wagstaff (Paul). Missing her as well will be her grandchildren: Scot Taylor (Tara), David Taylor, Coreen Stewart, Tony Stewart, Dan Stewart (Lori), Tasha Stewart (Trevor) and Amanda Kryvenchuk; great-grandchildren: Kieran Taylor, Aidan Taylor, Alexander Poitras, Crossley Stewart, Jamie Stewart, Gabriella Stewart, Lochlyn Stark, Evyn Stark, Bethany Kryvenchuk, and Cordelia Kryvenchuk.
Mother was born on the river, the Athabasca River, somewhere near Embarras Portage. In her later years – after 85 – she shared a lot of her memories of those pioneer days in the bush cabin with her mom and her pops. Mother was a hard worker all her life, starting out as a waitress and moving up to shop foreman at GWG clothing. Mother was an amazing seamstress creating her own patterns, making most of her own and her children’s clothing through the years. She loved flowers – her and father had vegetable gardens in several of the homes throughout Canada which fed their family. Rose was a strong advocate for children. She loved babies and they loved her back. Running a day home for up to six babies at a time, she was able to organize all the feeding and napping with lots of cuddles in-between.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Capital Care Strathcona – Harvest House (Yellow), for the many years of loving care provided to Rose. In their care since 2010, she became a member of their family as well.
A time for family and friends to pay their respects will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., followed by the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, 52356 Range Road 232, Sherwood Park, Alberta.
