ROSALIE DORIS BLACKMORE
1939 – 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rosalie Blackmore (nee Bray) announce her passing at the Palliative Care Unit of the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the age of 78. She is predeceased by her son, Philip, parents, Ron and Hazel Bray, parents-in-law Walter and Lucy Blackmore, brothers-in-law Martin Blackmore, David Blackmore, Arnold Schantz, and Dennis Dancey. Leaving to mourn is her husband of 53 years, Anthony (Hap) Blackmore, sons John (Kellie), Christopher (Shelly), Andrew (Karen), and Paul (Angeline). She also leaves to mourn her grandchildren, Michael, Kathleen, Melissa, Amanda, Nathan, Jason, Anthony, and Alexandria, her sisters, Norma (Gord Hart), Dianne Dancey, June Schantz, Glenda (David Sampson), brother, John (Sharon), sisters-in-law Judy (Gerry Brockie), Eleanor Blackmore, Sheila Kelly-Blackmore, Barbara Wood, and brother-in-law Brendan Blackmore, as well as many nieces and nephews, plus a large circle of family and friends, including her morning coffee group. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Central Funeral Homes Chapel in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. The funeral service will be held at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held at the Interfaith Cemetery, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. Urnbearer is her grandson, Jason Blackmore. Flowers gratefully accepted by the family or donations can be made in her memory to the Lionel Kelland Hospice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
