Ronald (Ron) Lawrence Hines
1934-2018
It is with
heavy hearts that the family of Ronald Hines, husband to Evelyn
(Black) Hines, announce his passing, which occurred on Saturday,
September 1, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a brief
illness. Born on July 16, 1934, he was
a son of the late Harold and Gladys (Howard) Hines.
A hard
worker, Ron was a long-time employee of Kimberly-Clark Tissue Mill in
West Saint John, before starting his own contracting company in
retirement. Throughout his life, Ron enjoyed traveling, spending time
with family and friends, and relaxing at home watching the Toronto
Blue Jays. He was known for his
enthusiastic story-telling and witty sense of
humour. Ron made many lasting
connections throughout his life, but he was most proud of his
cherished relationship with his loving wife of 57 years, Evelyn.
« Love you forever and ever and
ever »
Ron will be
lovingly remembered by his wife Evelyn, their children: Ronald (Linda)
Hines, Ralph (Marion) Hines and Susan (Kelvin) O’Neill; his
grandchildren: Michael and Stephen Hines, Stephen Duncan, Krista
Dorie, Lisa Hines, Robyn and Taryn O’Neill; his
great-grandchildren: Mitchell, Kendel, Alayna and Aiden;
sister-in-law, Barbara Hines along with many nieces and nephews and
members of his extended family.
In
addition to his parents, Ron is predeceased by his brothers William
(Bud) and Howard Hines and sisters Merron Ulseth, Ann Townsend and
Shirley Marirea.
Arrangements
have been entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral
