Ronald Bourque, age 86, of Stratford, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Stratford General Hospital. Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, son of the late Maurice and Lucilda (leger) Bourque. Predeceased by his loving wife Mary (Blake) Bourque, June 6, 2007. Ron was a traffic engineer with the Ministry of Transportation for many years before his retirement, and a very active member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church. Proud and loving father of Rhonda Robinson (Jerrold), Angela Boyle (Peter), Claudette Begg (Iain) and John Bourque (Karen). Papa will be missed by his loving grandchildren; Kendra (Nicolas), Matthew (Ashley), Kaylan (Nathan), Colin (Erin), Kyle (Amy), Courtney, Christopher, Emily and great grandchildren Henry, Nellie, Blake and William. Ron is survived by his siblings; Marie-Mai Leblanc (dec’d-Francis), Claudette Gagnon (Edgar), Dianne Thibodeau (Normand), Fernande Melanson (dec’d-Jackie), Jacinthe Brun (Ronald), Roberte Landry (Paul), Noëlla (dec’d-Roger), Victor (dec’d-Gremaine), André (Rosella), Irois (Héléna), Joe (Louise), Arthur (Loretta) and (Alcide dec’d) Yvonne. He will be forever remembered by the Blake family and his many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 96 Huron Street, Stratford on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral mass at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Avondale Cemetery.
