Born the oldest of seven boys to Gwen and Bryce Cumiskey, in Vegreville, Alberta, lived out his life in B.C., on the coast as dad loved the ocean with all his heart. Survived by his two brothers Allan and Bry; his five children: Debbie (Ken), Janice, Bob (Robin), Casey (Dania) and Orin (Ali); 9 grandchildren: Cole, Celine, Hayley, Holden, Kai, Ayla, Evie, Sloane, Harlow and one great-grandchild Nixon.
Dad was married twice to two wonderful women, Jenny and Beverley. He loved watching all his kids and grandkids especially in sports and his favourite pastimes were sports, golf, fishing and more sports. When asked what would be your favourite holiday to go on dad, dad replied “Going to the five Major League Baseball parks during spring training and watching the pros train- now that would be a great holiday!” He spent his working career firstly working on the trains and then his life career at Malkin and Pinton Industrial Supplies. He was part of six people who were the operating group of 11 company branches. Dad’s final wishes were to retire on the ocean and in true form he accomplished this feat, building his final home right on the bay in Gibsons, B.C. Dad loved that place. He became a great walker there and all of Gibsons knew him well from his daily 5 -10 mile walks, even taking the neighbour’s dog. Sadly, Alzheimer’s got the better of you dad, but you were proud and stoic right to the bitter end. Until we meet again may you Rest in Peace, forever in our hearts.
